Our Story
Meet The Weiss Family
Brad, Jennifer, Manning, and Lola have spent generations around restaurants, where great food and genuine hospitality were simply part of everyday life. From fine dining roots in Columbia, Missouri to building a wood-fire steakhouse in the Florida Keys, our family has always believed restaurants should feel personal, warm, and welcoming. Clementine’s Maison is the next chapter in that story. Simply created by our family, inspired by tradition, and built to bring people together around a truly unforgettable meal.
Some restaurants begin with a business plan.
Ours began around a table.
Long before Clementine's Maison ever had a name, our family learned what hospitality was meant to feel like through generations spent in restaurants, kitchens, and dining rooms filled with warmth, conversation, and the unmistakable glow of live fire.
For our family, restaurants have never simply been about food. They have always been about people. Celebrating milestones. Sharing bottles of wine that turn into stories. Gathering after long days. Creating places that feel special.
The inspiration behind Clementine’s Maison traces back to Churchill’s in Columbia, Missouri — a restaurant that shaped not only our understanding of fine dining, but our lives. It’s where our family celebrated holidays, where careers in hospitality quietly began, and where we first learned that true service is not rehearsed. It’s felt.
The name “Clementine’s” itself is a tribute to Clementine Churchill, wife of Winston Churchill, and a quiet nod to the restaurant that inspired generations of our family. We wanted a name that felt timeless, warm, elegant, and deeply personal — something that honored where we came from while creating something entirely our own.
Years later, we carried that philosophy south to the Florida Keys, where we built Broil Small Island Steakhouse around wood-fire cooking, family hospitality, and the belief that even in the middle of the ocean, people still crave genuine connection. What started as a small family restaurant became something larger than we ever imagined.
Now, we’re bringing that same spirit back home.
Clementine’s Maison was created to blend everything we love most about dining: the richness of classic steakhouses, the comfort of handmade food, the romance of old-world hospitality, and the energy of a lively dining room centered around fire.
Our menu draws inspiration from many places — French technique, Italian comfort, Midwestern warmth, coastal influences from our years in Florida — but every dish shares the same purpose: to create something memorable.
You’ll find wood-fired steaks, fresh seafood, handmade pastas, thoughtful cocktails, and desserts made with the kind of care that only comes from doing things by hand. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just honest hospitality and an experience meant to be shared.
Most importantly, Clementine’s Maison is still what it has always been at heart: family.
From our family to yours, welcome to the table.
